Lone Star Classic

PTI MLK Classic
The first annual PTI MLK Classic promoted by grassroots director (PTI) Michael LeBlanc (former UCONN standout and native Houstonian) was successful in its inaugural/infant state. There has not been traditional MLK basketball events in Texas while these events litter the rest of the country’s basketball landscape. The quality of the event line up was a national class event worthy of an ESPNU type line up.
V-Prep vs. Prime Prep
Tuesday night played host to some high level basketball including some of Texas’ most talented prospects. The first game of the doubleheader was Greater Houston Prep vs. Pro-Vision Academy. The game was competitive throughout but in the end after some missed free throws and poor decisions by Pro-Vision the game went to overtime. Pro-Vision Academy ultimately defeated Greater Houston Prep 73-69.The first game served as a suitable appetizer for basketball fans who came out to see the main course of the evening, nationally renowned Prime Prep versus Victory Prep. Both teams had multiple high level prospects and competed throughout, but in the end Prime Prep defeated Victory Prep 64-52. Here are some of the players who caught our attention.
